【MFTPA x TorinoFilmLab - Script & Creative Production Workshop and Training Programme】first round overseas workshop completed successfully

the first round oversea workshop of【MFTPA x TorinoFilmLab - Script & Creative Production Workshop and Training Programme】completed successfully. The 3 selected filming group - (Order is listed in alphabetical order of the project titles.) -“Falling King of Jai-Alai”(Writer and Director: Oliver Fa / Producer: Fernando Lourenço) ; “Death in Translation” (Former working title: “The Big Circle”)  (Writer and Director: Maxim Bessemrtnyi  / Producer: Jorge Cordeiro dos Santos) ; “The Rainbow Sky” (Writer and Director: David Tan / Producer: Chan Pou Sam) joined the TFL Extended Workshop - Feature Film 2019 at Turin together with the other over 30 projects from all over the world.

 

The first round workshop was mainly about the early development stage. To encouraging the creative processes necessary to achieve the best possible result from strong stories, which can meet audience and market’s requirements. Through the lecture, plenary, site visit and group discussion to bring out the topic of pitching and sales market within the filming industry. Beside the above activities, a professional and experienced producer Eilon Ratzkovsky has been assigned to work with the Macau groups as a tutor to provide comment and advise for their film project. After the participants back to Macau, Eilon will keep follow up on the progress of their programme, review their revised treatment and assist them to prepare the 2nd round overseas workshop on November  18-23, 2019 at Turin also. The main aspects around the 2nd round workshop are: creative development and production, pitching, audience design, sales and distribution, financing and post-production.

Mentored by Eilon Ratzkovsky, we debated and workshopped our stories with such intensity to finally pitch them in front of everyone - a rewarding experience and a great way for a first feature film journey to begin.”
